Interview with Kimberly Halcomb

Do you have a favorite quote or passage from The House Of Kyle that you'd like to share with us?

“Just talk to Him Sherry. He’s real. He’ll make everything alright."

After reading The House Of Kyle, what do you want people to take away with them?

God is not just a figment of our imagination or some made up character to make one feel good. God is real. He knew us before we were even born and our paths in life are ones he has preordered. It is up to us to choose the right one.

Which deceased author would you most like to take out to dinner?

Charles Dickens

What is the best contemporary novel you've read in the last year?

A Walk to Remember by Nicolas Sparks

Had you always wanted to be a writer?

Always since I can remember.

What was the book that most influenced your life and why?

Recently I read about Madame Guion a sixteenth century nun. She talked about the many crosses she had to bear for the lord. I realized Christians today don’t really have crosses. They have complaints.

What is the best writing advice you've ever been given?

Write what you know.

What are some of your favorite books from your childhood?

A Christmas Carol, Wuthering Heights and Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven”

What do you think of eBooks? Do you support digital publishing?

If you could choose one superhero power, what would it be and why?

Jesus Christ is the ultimate super hero. He made lame men walk, blind eyes see and the sun to stand still. What other super hero can do that?

Hebron Books
